From your symptoms to a treatment plan
- 01
Understand the symptoms
Tell us what changed, when it started and how it affects you. Your medicines, allergies and health history help put the symptoms in context.
- 02
Examine and assess
The doctor performs a focused examination and relevant checks. Tests are chosen when they can clarify the diagnosis or change treatment—not as an automatic package.
- 03
Leave with a clear plan
Understand the likely cause, medication or wound-care plan, expected progress and when to return. If you need specialist or hospital care, the doctor explains the next step.
Can a GP provide medication for common illnesses?
Yes. Kauri can provide suitable medication following a doctor’s assessment. Treatment may focus on fever or pain relief, nasal symptoms, skin inflammation, digestive symptoms or an infection that needs a specific medicine. The aim is to treat the cause where possible and help you recover comfortably.
Antibiotics treat selected bacterial infections, not ordinary colds or influenza. Some viral infections have specific antiviral treatments: for flu, assessment early in the illness gives the doctor more treatment options. Severe illness or higher-risk patients can still benefit from prompt review even after the first 48 hours.
Minor wound care, with a plan for healing
We care for minor wounds, abrasions and selected infected wounds. The doctor checks the injury and surrounding skin, plans appropriate cleaning and dressings, and considers medication when needed. You receive instructions on protecting the wound and when to return for review.
The right setting depends on the injury. Deep wounds, uncontrolled bleeding, embedded objects or loss of movement or sensation need urgent hospital assessment. Animal bites also need prompt review for infection and vaccination needs.

You do not need to know the diagnosis before booking. Start with your main concern and a timeline of symptoms. Bring any records that help explain what has already been checked or treated.
- Identification and your current medication list, including supplements.
- Known medicine allergies, relevant conditions and pregnancy possibility.
- Previous results, photos of a changing rash or vaccination records for a wound visit, if available.
Questions about GP care at Kauri
What does a general practitioner treat?
A GP is a first point of care for common illnesses and new symptoms. At Kauri, this includes respiratory symptoms, sore throats, digestive illness, nasal allergies, urinary symptoms, rashes and minor wound care. Assessment also identifies when a specialist or hospital is needed.
How much is a GP consultation at Kauri?
The doctor consultation is 500 baht. Minor wound care is 300 baht. Ask the clinic about any medicine or test charges before treatment.
Do I need blood tests at every GP visit?
No. A focused history and examination may be enough to plan care. Testing is recommended when it can help answer a relevant clinical question. Preventive blood-test packages are available separately through our health-screening service.
Can I get medication and a sick leave certificate?
Kauri can provide appropriate medication after assessment. A sick leave certificate can be issued when supported by the doctor’s findings. Tell the doctor if illness is affecting your ability to work.
Do you provide wound care?
Yes. Kauri provides care for minor wounds, abrasions and selected infected wounds. The doctor assesses whether the injury is suitable for clinic care and explains treatment and follow-up.
